We sometimes hear a customer complaining about needle breaking when they are using sewing machine. These are some of the more common reasons why it keep breaking
- The needle is not installed correctly. The screw might not be tight enough
- The needle size is not correct for the application. If you are sewing thick material, you may need to use larger size needle
- The threads become entangled somewhere on the sewing machine. For example entanglement at the spool cap, thread take up etc
- The needle quality is not good. We reccomend brand like Organ or Schmetz for better quality
- Bobbon house is not installed correctly
- The needle is bent already
- You might be using wrong sewing setting or position of sewing. This normally happens when
- Sewing zippers
- Using any sewing footer with dividers like the overlock footer and not compensating for the divider.
- The needle hit a pin on the fabric. Most of the time it will just pass over but sometimes it breaks
